After mass execution, came a hunt. A following effort to make sure all Jedi were gone. Politicians and other leaders under Palpatine’s new rule put to work their own innovated, vicious and deceptive strategies not to only find remaining Jedi, but to compel civilians force them out of hiding.
Through covert channels designed for such a disaster and separation, Plo attempts to contact any other survivors in the Order. Plo connects not with another Jedi, although… there is a voice on the other end of the hidden transmitter. Afferita Colo Unduli, an older sister of the missing Jedi Master Luminara. Fault-finding about their mission, Afferita never wished to be a part of the Order, but she accepted Luminara’s paranoia. Luminara felt that something awful was coming and when she asked for the support of her older sister in keeping some hope alive, Afferita agreed to collect a box for Luminara from a place otherwise non-disclosed. This box, she tells Plo, contained family keepsakes, a transmitter with instructions as well as Luminara’s favourite volume of Jedi passages.

Fleets of Republic and Separatists warships, frigates, destroyers and smaller fighters drift in the new silence of the Cato Neimoidia system. Almost all shrapnel evades its central planet’s orbit. Unfortunately, the wreckage of one destroyer is deviating. It is on a gradual trajectory, circling the world before it will soon fall into atmosphere and cause unrecoverable damage to what may await in its path.

Before he seeks transhipment off-world, Plo sets his dictating determination on finding the two Jedi Knights, Igg Wolnn and Maude Sobov, who, too, were assigned to the final effort capturing Cato Neimoidia.
Wolnn’s and Sobov’s fates following the fatal order are experienced through traces Plo uncovers as he crosses unpredictable storms and oceans, refugee sites, mining caves, and harbours. What he ascertains, is the green-sabered, Coruscanti Twi’Lek and Human knights are keeping more than their changing whereabouts a secret.

Cylnia speaks one language. A language not registered on galactic databases. A language unfamiliar to any individual, sentient or artificial, she’s come across while settled on Cato Neimoidia. As far as she understands, there is only one who can understand her without translation and that is NIFE, a very old and worn droid whose E.F.E (expected functioning expiry) came and went many cycles ago.
Rather than seek out long term resolve for communication, Cylnia is decided, when NIFE finally switches off for the last time, she is to be alone. No longer be understood.
While Cylnia claims this is her fate, her history suggests there’s more to her decision.
Cylnia was once a ‘Cull’, force-sensitive individuals who operate often under the control of unauthorised and outlawed groups. Telepathy-wielded, a ‘Cull’ would be missioned to pry minds and extract information from captured persons while they are interrogated. If they resist successfully, then the Cull is ordered to unveil weaknesses to be used for meaningful threats.

Before the establishment of the Galactic Empire’s ranks, Palpatine, Vader and their Lieutenants called upon the most expensive and the most immoral of bounty hunters to carry out the chase of any remaining Jedi and any announced allies.
Of course, any surviving masters of the order are priority one targets.
This is an absolute passion project.
And it’s in dedication to my younger self. The child, internal and alive, whose kept alight the fire inside and never let me give up on creating stories.
I grew up with the prequels, invested in the era, imagining backstories for the uniquely designed Masters on the Jedi’s High Council. Origins for the likes of Ki Adi, Shaak Ti, and of course, Plo. Star Wars’ universe is one so vast and yet so undiscovered. There is so much potential for equally undiscovered writers who have the ideas to bring us unforgettable tales from this galaxy far, far away.
I want to tell a story which brings together my most favoured concepts in this franchise.
The questionable ethics and history of the Jedi.
Greater exploration of the Force.
The adult politics and beliefs.
Disarming heartbreak and of course, new hope.
...I should also say, this is for my adult self. Mentally, I’ve experienced quite a beating the past few months and like with everything I write, I’m certain what I’ve felt will bleed onto the page. In fact, I know it already has.
Plo had faith in his alliances before it all turned on him so sudden and unexpectedly. He survives, but the damage is severe. The smokes hardly cleared, and yet he must carry on, trying to understand what’s happened. He feels compelled to fight for what he still cares about and dares to try and find belief again.

Like Andor, this film showed what can be when a universe or character isn’t restrained by age rating, genre or committee. What’s specifically influential about it – It drop its audiences into the setting. It has constant drive and clear direction. It’s raw, it’s brutal. It’s extremely emotional. And its protagonist is tired and tested.

This series is a massive inspiration. It gives me hope. It proves original and incredibly developed stories can be told on the biggest of stages and too, that there are audiences out there who appreciate the commitment to challenge norm. It also shows the potential for telling adult narratives set in more fantastical settings. And of course, in reference to my mission, set in the Star Wars universe.
Beside its movement, Andor just as a story has as much influence on this project. It’s serious about its purpose, its characters are masterfully refined, and through it all, there is the feeling of hope that drives heroes to believe the fight is worth it.

Both games developed by Ninja Theory are heavily character driven and effectively balance missions in reality with missions in mind and psychology. Hellblade’s unapologetically dedicated to its main character’s motivations and trials. It’s also set within a dark and beautiful Nordic lore and aesthetic.

The plan for next year is to get the beginning of this story seen.
And onwards from there...
do all that I can to make it more than an inspired pitch.
I expect that'll take all the support that I can get.
For now, following re.occurrence on instagram means so much to me and I plan to be releasing a consistent stream of writing and visuals.
Thank you so much.

Tyvokka concealed the extent of his obsessive attachment with the force. He was certain that if the Order knew of his full power, they would work to reduce or abolish his authority. What Tyvokka described as ‘blurred forecasts’ of the future to the likes of Yoda, Dooku, and Jinn, were really bleeding visions. Haunting glimpses of violence, heartache, and hurt, desperate for response. Their influence was too much. Tyvokka let himself be led by the unrefined guidance. He offered sacrifice to ensure the survival of what he cared most for, his padawan Plo.

In the present, we accompany Plo on his journey from resurrection to retaliation. For his reflections on the past, as the pages turn, Plo relives another troubling time. A time just before Skywalker. The year Anakin was born in fact, 41BBY. Plo Koon and his Master, Tyvokka, a war-trodden, riotously moral and ruthless Wookie warrior and force-wielder with a cemented space on the Order’s High Council, are dispatched to Cato Neimoidia’s upside down suspended bridge city Wicisit, to investigate a series of sacrificial killings. In back rooms and auditoriums, there are scenes of worshippers held in symbolic suspension.
The bodies left in wake, are frozen over with illegally acquired amounts of carbonite. Plo is set on starting their investigation with the carbonite. Tracing it to its source to then track it back to those initiating the rituals. Concurrently, Tyvokka unsettles Plo. His Master behaves as if forcibly fixated with the intention of the rituals which he suspects, is resurrection.

As a boy on the planet Dorin in the Expansion Region, Plo was raised by his Kel Dor parents who hid their own force-sensitivities and served as contributing voices and workers amongst an immortal harvest. One long night, truces broke and fighting ensued. Plo, proving ability, was swept up by present Jedi before he could put together what happened and find out whether his family survived.
